The South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) invites applications for the position of Part Time Project Officer to join its Secretariat located in Suva, Fiji.  Representing 18 member countries, SPTO fosters collaboration amongst its members on Tourism matters.

The purpose of this role is to support the Sustainable Tourism Development and Marketing Divisions in a Fiji focused project.  The person is expected to assist in project coordination duties.

We are looking for someone who has a ‘can do’ attitude with strong eye for details, very organised, excellent communication skills emphatic to all levels and cultures present in the organisation.  He or she will work with a range of stakeholders from private sector, government agencies, media and partners.  SPTO has a gender equality policy thus encourages both females and males to apply.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • a minimum of a tertiary diploma in tourism, management, economics or a relevant field and at least 3 years’ experience in project coordination/support;

The candidate must also be skilled in establishing and maintaining robust relationships, exhibit excellent report writing and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Remuneration offered will be determined according to the successful candidate’s relevant experience and skills.
