Tourism Fiji was recognised as the ‘Best Content Marketing Promotion of the year’ National Tourist Organisation at a glittering awards ceremony in Chengdu during the 2020 Trip.com Group Global Partner Summit on 29 October.
The Global Partner Summit theme, “Explore the Evolution of the Industry in the Year of the Pandemic”, hosted over 2,600 attendees, consisting of 1,000 tourism, 690 accommodation, 290 markets, and 230 transportation representatives. The event aimed to revitalize global travel, providing insight into the valuable experience, examining emerging trends, and uniting the travel industry to build connections and share knowledge on the new-normal of travel. The gathering of the summit marked an important step for the further recovery of the travel industry and helped to form stronger bonds between industry sectors and representatives
The awards celebrate and recognize individuals and organizations in the tourism sector for delivering outstanding experiences and demonstrating enterprise excellence. In response to Covid-19, Tourism Fiji has been working with Trip.com Group closely to adopt a lot of approaches and initiatives to help industry partners navigate the rapidly changing landscape. The awards “Best Content Marketing Promotion of the year” is recognition for Tourism Fiji for its outstanding marketing performance in the China market.

In the wake of COVID-19, Tourism Fiji’s efforts have been focused on restoring travelers’ confidence and stimulating demand with new safe travel destination for visitors. Starting from March, Tourism Fiji has
developed a series of promotional campaigns such as Bulanaires, the presale campaign “Buy now, and experience later” and the Boss Live session cooperation with Ctrip.com. At the same time, Tourism Fiji has
also been implementing a comprehensive Four-Stage Market Re-entry where currently the destination is in stage two with its core message being “Our ‘Bula Spirit’ awaits you”.
