SPTO Supports Fiji’s Tree Planting Beautification Initiative

The SPTO team gathered last Saturday (28 October) to participate at the Fiji Museum Open Day and launch of the Tree Planting Beautification.


The event was organized by the Fiji Museum and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism [MITT].


The Tree Planting Program was part of a public awareness initiative on environmental challenges, which also included climate change.


The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism [MITT] Permanent Secretary Mr. Shaheen Ali was the chief guest and other invited guests included Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association [FHTA] Chair Mr. Dixon Seeto, Destination Suva Chair Mr. Peter Gee, Fiji Museum Board Member Mr. Robin Yarrow,  Ms. Annemarie de Vos, General Manager De Vos on the Park and Mr. Krishneel Achari of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation [SPTO].

Attendees also included school children and members of the public.

The event also involved a Tourism Photography Exhibition, UNDP Exhibition and Awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals [SDG] and a free tour of the Fiji Museum.
