Aitutaki’s Tamanu Beach Resort in association with Cook Islands Tourism and Aitutaki Tourism operators recently hosted Australian and New Zealand product managers on a famil to experience the very best of Aitutaki, Cook Islands.
During their stay the 7 product managers [after the site inspections] spent an afternoon on Aitutaki’s world-famous lagoon, complete with a casual beach BBQ on the Honeymoon Island Sand Bar. They also indulged in SPA treatments at the all-new Tamanu Day Spa and enjoyed a fun night with the Aitutaki industry including poolside cocktails at the Pacific Resort, dinner sliders at the Boat Shed Restaurant & Bar and an island night show at Aitutaki Village before finishing off with a beach bonfire at Base One, complete with entertainment throughout the evening by the Vaka Cruise crew and their ukuleles.
Tamanu Beach Resort General Manager, Nick Henry, said “We really want to get the message out through our key Aussie and Kiwi travel trade partners, that Aitutaki has so much more to offer than just being a day trip from Rarotonga. With kite surfing, SUPs, giant clams, diving, fishing and a range of intimate island cafes, restaurants and bars, Aitutaki has an increasing number of facilities available for visitors, whilst still retaining its uncrowded, sleepy outer Cook Islands feel.
Tamanu Beach Resort completed a refurbishment of more than half their rooms last year including the opening of the all-new Tamanu Beach Villa and our Day Spa & tranquillity garden. The Product Managers visit provided a great opportunity to showcase these new facilities.
