The Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority presents itself to the travel industry of Germany, Switzerland and France (TCMG) Munich, January.

In March 2019, Papua New Guinea will be introduced to the German and French speaking markets. The Roadshow will take place from 07th March until 13th March with stops in Berlin (07th March), Munich (11th March), Zurich (12th March) and Paris (13th March) and will be joined by Jerry Agus, CEO of the Tourism Promotion Authority.

“A Million Different Journeys“ is the slogan of the destination which expresses the richness of the country and how diverse a trip to Papua New Guinea can be. The tourism products from PNG who participate in the roadshow totally resonate with this brand: Air Niugini, Coral Expeditions, Country Tours, Melanesian Tourist Services, No Limit Adventures, Paiya Tours, Papua New Guinea Tribal Lands, PNG Explorers International, Trans Niugini Tours and True North.

The event in Berlin will take place during The World’s Leading Travel Trade Show (ITB) and focuses on product managers of wholesalers from across Europe that are specialized in trips off the beaten track. During a three course dinner, they can refresh their knowledge of the destination and get to know new products and operators from Papua New Guinea.

In Munich, Zurich and Paris, travel agents as well as wholesalers are invited to a dinner with the Tourism Promotion Authority and the products from PNG. Like in Berlin, the operators and products introduce themselves in a short presentation after each course. During the dinner and after the last course there are opportunities for networking and further exchanges.

The start of the event is at 8pm in Berlin, in both Munich and Zurich at 6.30pm and in Paris at 7pm. As space is limited in each location, the participants will be chosen in the order of registration. Food and beverages will be provided.

More detailed information about the venues and the registration for each evening event in the different cities can be found here:

Papua New Guinea:
Papua New Guinea is one of the last remote places on the planet and is also home of the biggest intact rainforest outside of the amazon. Most parts of the country are still so untouched, that visitors feel like explorers who discover the country for the first time. The beauty of the landscape – untouched reefs and beaches, volcanoes, up to 4500 meter high mountains, tropical rainforests and wild rivers get complemented by the huge diversity of cultures of the locals.

The very old traditions are still part of the everyday life. Colourful body decorations, artefacts as well as wild dances to the sound of the drums can be experienced when visiting one of the many culture festivals that happen throughout the year, for example at Goroka or Mt Hagen Show.
