Former CEO of Air Kiribati, Tarataake Teannaki, has been sworn as the new Secretary for Information, Communications, Transport and Tourism Development (MICTTD) at the State Maneaba in Bairiki on Monday.

Mr Teannaki replaces former Secretary, Dr Teatao Tira who’s taken up a new post at the Asian Development Bank (ADB)..
Mr Teannaki took his oath in front of President Taneti Maamau and in the presence of Cabinet ministers and Secretaries.

In his remarks, President Maamau commended Mr Teannaki’s hard work and dedication in introducing Air Kiribati’s international flight service which has resulted in the procurement of the airline’s new Embraer aircraft which is expected to arrive in the country soon.

Mr Teannaki is not new to the ministry as he previously held the post of Director of Tourism…
