Travel agents are embracing the opportunity to ‘bundle’ more and more, to help ensure income over and above
diminishing airline commissions and often sharp accommodation rates, says a leading representative of South Pacific product.
Mike Geary from Eye 4 Travel says Cook Islands Tours has put some ‘must see and do’ activities into its new 2019 Best of Raro Pass. The pass is $299 per adult and includes a two and a half hour Rarotonga Orientation and Sites Tour, a four and a half hour progressive dinner to island homes, a three and a half hour Koka Lagoon Cruise with BBQ lunch, a two and a half hour Te Vara Nui Overwater Night Show and buffet dinner.
The company also has a 15% discount voucher on Black Pearl purchases. ‘All three activities are extremely popular and this is a great opportunity for agents to sell them before clients get to the islands,’ says Geary.
‘The progressive dinner, for example, gives customers a real glimpse into the local life and food – three courses in
three different houses, with a string band accompanying the tour all the way.’ Geary says visitors to the Cook Islands
still obviously like to ‘get on the water’, which makes the Koka Lagoon Cruise an attractive component of the pass.
Te Vara Nui, meantime, is well established as a night time entertainment offering on Rarotonga. ‘The more agents can bundle up before their clients reach the destination, the better,’ says Geary. ‘And this makes it easy because it is one email.’ Further information, contact Mike Geary on; firstname.lastname@example.org
