In one of the most picturesque locations on the planet, a collection of junior, novice and advanced riders took to the water for Kite2taki 2019.

Honeymoon Island, Aitutaki, turned on the sunshine and wind for the inaugural event. Kite2Taki 2019 was a ‘teaser’ event for riders from New Zealand, Australia and Aitutaki to engage in and experience world class kiting.

Why is Honeymoon island, Aitutaki renowned for its world class kiting location? Because of its surrounding shallow waters in a vast expanse of open lagoon and the sheer beauty of its surroundings.

Feedback from many of the participants were; “we will be back for sure”, “where else on earth can you experience all of this”, “it’s the people that make this place special”.

Dates for 2020 will be released very soon. The Kite2Taki team would like to give a big Meitaki Atupaka to its supporting partners; Cook Islands Tourism, SWITCH Kites, Toa Moana Oe Vaka, Seachange Villas, Paka’s Pearls, Tamanu Beach Resort & Wet ‘n’ Wild Charters.
