Island Hopping Through the Yasawa Islands, Fiji

Close your eyes and picture Fiji…

Do you see white sand and turquoise waters? That’s my first thought too and the Yasawa Islands do not fail to deliver on this vision.

The Yasawa Group of Islands are an archipelago made up of around 20 separate islands, found north-west of the mainland. The Yasawa Islands are the perfect holiday destination; with a mixture of accommodation options, everyone will find what they’re looking for fitting into their own budget. Each hotel and resort offers you the opportunity to flop and drop on the beautiful beaches or to be as adventurous as you’d like, with multiple activities on offer every day.

Getting there:

Getting to Nadi International Airport is easy, with direct flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne daily, your first step is done.

Once you’ve arrived, it’s time to get to the islands!

  • Jump on a domestic flight, it’s incredible to see the islands and clear water from the air
    • Top Tip: keep your camera at the ready, you’ll want to capture this experience
  • Hit the water on the Yasawa Flyer, a speedy catamaran departing from Denarau Marina daily stopping at multiple spots in the Mamanuca Islands and onto the Yasawa Islands. This option is great with hop-on hop-off passes so you can see more islands during your week away
    • Top Tip: upgrade to the Captains Lounge if possible. You’ll get comfortable seating, air conditioning and some free snacks and drinks for the journey
