The crème de la crème of the Tourism industry gathered for the inaugural Australian Travel Awards Grand Final ceremony; organised by Travel Weekly and presented in association with Seven West Media’s Better Homes and Gardens and 7Travel.

Fiji were awarded the coveted “People’s Choice – Favourite Destination” for 2018 as voted by thousands of consumers via the Better Homes and Gardens and 7Travel networks.

Nanuku Auberge Resort was the only Fijian resort to be named as a Grand Final contender in the 2018 awards ceremony, finishing as proud finalists in two categories; “Sustainable Tourism Company of the Year” and “Hotel of the Year”.

General Manager Sascha Hemmann says, “We extend our sincerest congratulations to all the winners and our heartfelt gratitude to Travel Weekly’s Editor in Chief Dan Uglow; for his commitment to supporting and promoting our thriving industry”.

Sascha continues, “We are so proud of Fiji’s well-deserved win. A nation passionate about sharing its beauty, rich values and traditions with all. Nanuku Resort is honoured to have finished as Grand Finalists for our unwavering commitment to sustainable tourism, innovation and our well-recognised personalised service”.

2018 also saw Nanuku Auberge Resort rank “5th Best Resort in Australia and the South Pacific” in the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards.
