Over 1000 passengers and crew from the cruise ship Maasdam of Holland America Line visited a mainly sunny Rarotonga.
Having sailed from Bora Bora in French Polynesia the passengers were able to disembark at Avatiu by tender to experience what a little paradise has to offer.
At 220m long the Statendam class Maasdam accommodates up to 1627 passengers with 557 crew. Most passengers disembarked and enjoyed an array of tours and sightseeing, including visiting Muri Beach and the Punanga Nui market.
The Maasdam is scheduled to return to Rarotonga again in the coming month, with on the ground operators Cruise Cook Islands and Destination Management Cook Islands.
