The Cook Islands was recently represented at the TravMedia International Media Marketplace (IMM) event held in London, UK by Noeline Mateariki, CI Tourism Marketing Manager – Head office and UK representative, Kay Jackson.
The pair conducted over 40 meetings with potential media contacts who are looking to partner on special assignment to the destination.
IMM is regarded as one of the leading media events as it provides the opportunity to meet a range of commissioned and freelance journalists, editors and broadcasters to discuss news, events and marketing opportunities. This year 354 travel trade exhibitors and 678 journalists attended. This is the second year that the Cook islands has attended.
IMM works for us in that it provides some great media leads to promote and market the Cook Islands that wouldn’t otherwise be possible, says, Noeline Mateariki. Throughout the day Noeline Mateariki and Kay Jackson had over 40 meetings with potential media contacts who are looking to partner on special assignment to the destination for both traditional press publications and television promotions.
