Travel agents gathered this week to attend Treasures of the South Pacific, a series of events designed to educate and inspire Australian travel agents about the variety of tourism product and experiences available across the South Pacific.

The South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) and Pacific Trade Invest, Australia sponsored the events, hosting over 30 travel agents in Wollongong on Tuesday 16 October, and 90 travel agents in Sydney the following evening.

Agents were inspired by the culture, nature, creativity and adventurous spirit that the South Pacific has to offer as they gained knowledge and insights from tourism office representatives including the Cook Islands, Fiji, Norfolk Island, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands and the Hidden Treasures of the Pacific.

Travel agents can also sign up and complete the South Pacific Specialist online training platform to become a South Pacific Specialist at www.southpacificspecialist.org/.
