The Research and Statistics Division of SPTO published last week it’s Quarterly Review of Tourist Arrivals in Pacific Island Countries for the Fourth Quarter of 2018. This report presents a review of tourist arrivals in Pacific Island countries in the December Quarter of 2018 with comparative analysis over the corresponding quarters in 2017.

In this edition, the market analysis coverage had expanded to quarterly cruise arrivals, a growing niche market and outbound residents from eight key markets.

Global visitor arrivals in Quarter Four 2018 posted a positive growth of 4.4%. This was driven by favourable performances in all the regions, led by Africa at 8.0%, Europe 4.9%, and Asia and the Pacific at 4.4%.

The December Quarter 2018 publication can be accessed through SPTO RTRC Website. The publication is also distributed to SPTO member countries through Board Members, National Statistics Offices, National Tourism Offices, Reserve/Central Banks, Private Sector Members and Other stakeholders.
